You can get a degree in New Thought
There are some wonderful institutions offering great degrees to get your moving forward in New Thought

There is a variety of great New Thought Degree programs:

  1. Emerson Institute: If you are ready to embark on a "spiritually-oriented program with an emphasis on solid spiritual and personal growth" then the Emerson Institute could be your cup of tea. They offer a full range of credentials and degrees that enable one to embark on a New Thought ministry anywhere in the world.
  2. Holmes Instute: If you already have a Bachelors degree from a U.S. University, the Holmes Institute, not to be confused with the real Holmes Institute in Australia, offers an in house program for those intending to be ministers within their Religious Science denomination.
  3. New Thought University offers multiple degree programs and last time we checked they were offering scholarships for up to 60% of their tuition.
  4. University of Sedona is part of the Metaphysical New Thought University system which has been offering degrees since 1959. Last time we checked they were offering scholarships for up to 80% of their tuition.
  5. Unity Village: If you already have a Bachelors degree from a U.S. University, and pass the psychological tests to see if you are a good candidate, then you might be accepted to their Graduate Program.
  6. University of Metaphysics offers a degree program that is internationally recognized and takes you from a Bachelors degree to a Doctorate enabling you to begin your New Thought Ministry anywhere in the world. Last time we checked they were offering scholarships for up to 80% of their tuition.
  7. RSA - is offering a complete program to go from scratch to becomig a Religious Science Practitioner and then onto to being a certified and ordained Religious Science Minsiter.
  8. Global Religious Science is offering programs to enable you to get an honorary doctorate
  9. Unity Nigeria is offering wonderful ministerial programs in Africa.
  10. New Thought Exotic studies program offers certificates and more while you study in exotic locations around the world such as Cairo, Juarez, Bogata, the Amazon, Belgian Congo, China, Burma, East Timor, the Tuvalos Islands and even Libya.
Remember that religious degrees are not that helpful outside the organization that grants it. Shocker! That's right. The Institution may even be certified by some "Accredation Organization" but this does not mean your degree will carry any weight outside the New Thought World. Thus you need to carefully consider the cost of your degree and if it exceeds $6,000 you should seriously consider going to a regular university and not to a Divinity School!
Remember that you need to ask lots of questions and GET the answers. Some of these institutes engage in Spiritual politics meaning they might let you in their Teacher program and then change their minds and decide that you aren't their cup of tea, put your through an inquisition and you find you wasted all your time and money. Don't take chances, Ask Questions and GET answers.
