Why Yes and No?
Each New Thought education offers advantages and disadvantages. But if you talk to most of the people who have jobs at a particular institution they will tell you that their institution is the best.
There is a degree of disingenuity that can pervade the more expensive programs Shocker! That's right. Some of the more expensive institutions wouldl like you to believe that because they have hired a "Doctor" or two that this means they are the better school. Remember that Jesus didn't have a doctorate and Ernest Holmes never graduated from high school and got a "weekend doctorate" The majority if not all of the early New Thought leaders developed consciousness and compassion just like Eckhart Tolle today.
Thus you need to remember that whichever institute is printing that shiny brochure or publishing that website is hiring a publicist to push forth the idea that they are the best. Don't believe anything they write including their self proclaimed assurances of being the only solution to your New Thought Education. Don't take chances, Ask Questions and GET answers.
Some of these institutions are more expensive than others.
This does not mean they are better. In fact they might be churning out "Reverends and Doctors" and giving "Masters degrees in Co-creation or Consciousness" but the recipients of these degrees might display an inordinate amount of abusive and unethical behavior.
It is important to look at the instructors:
Are the iinstructors truly compassionate and spiritual? Do the instructors care about the environment or assume an attitude that pollution is a delusions or that the Gulf Spill is something to be celebrated? Do your instructors teach compassion or do they simply want you to be able to find the latest way to "repurpose" old New Thought books or create the latest fad course to make money? Is your instructor taking people into sweat lodges and forcing them to sit there till someone dies of a heart attack? If so then pehaps it is best to look elsewhere.
and the students.
Are the students a bunch of wealthy spouses who are studying because they have nothing else to do? Or are they sincere seekers like yourself who come from a vast rainbow of backgrounds?
In the final analysis:
All the institutes that we list have gotten good reports from various sources. We have done our best to bring you information about them, but we make no guarantees about them.
Why can't you make guarantees:
The news is only as up to date as the last publication. Tuition rates changes, people change at these institutes. Institutes that have a good reputation today might not be good tommorrow. But we give you a place to start. You have to go from here and do your homework. Read this whole site and ask loads of questions about the denomination you are involved in or the program you are thinking about. They are all good, but you are the only one who can decide what is best for you.
